- Congratulations to Donna Mitsch from NE Victoria who has become our third Landscape Restoration Fellow. Donna, who is an Indigenous woman, is part of the Ghunda Mulla Aboriginal Women’s Landcare Group. The $10,000 Fellowship is to help Donna with her professional development in the field. She will use the funds to increase her knowledge of traditional land management practices, particularly the use of traditional fire practices. She will take part in cultural exchanges and produce a publication on Aboriginal plant use in NE Victoria.
- Congratulations also to the LEAF Project in the Otways. They have received $30,000 to continue with their project on Linking Environment and Farms – a joint initiative by the Otway Agroforestry Network and the Upper Barwon Landcare Network.
